Rosanna Lockwood is a British broadcast journalist and international News Anchor, with more than a decade of experience working as a Presenter and Correspondent for major networks across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She has fronted prime-time news shows from London, Istanbul, Dubai, and Singapore.

Currently in the UK, Rosanna is an international freelance presenter, and a Senior Fellow for the John Schofield Trust. Most recently, she hosted her own evening news show ‘Prime Time with Rosanna Lockwood’, 7-8pm on Talk TV. She has also been a guest host, standing-in for Piers Morgan on his flagship debate show ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’, and presented the network’s nightly newspaper review show.

Previously, Rosanna anchored Squawk Box and Street Signs programming in London and Singapore for CNBC International, alongside providing European markets reporting for CNBC U.S., MSNBC and the wider NBC network. She has also presented long-form episodes of CNBC’s The Edge and Inside E-Commerce. Her core topics include economics and geopolitics.

An experienced Correspondent, Rosanna has covered Middle East stock markets from the Reuters bureau in Dubai, and reported live from Downing Street in London, and from on board an aircraft carrier in the Singapore Strait for CNBC. She began her career as a reporter and producer for the BBC, Bloomberg TV, LBC and ITN in the UK.

Rosanna has interviewed world leaders, central bank governors, and CEOs, and her prowess in the field of business and finance has made her a popular MC, chairperson, and panel moderator, for live events around the world. She has delivered on-stage discussions with Nobel Prize-winning scientists, best-selling authors, and senior bankers at major conferences and summits in London, Paris, New York, Cairo, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Singapore. She has also filmed and hosted projects in conjunction with the UN’s Climate Change Conference (COP) in Egypt and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

About

Rosanna was born in Hong Kong as a British citizen and then mostly grew up in the southwest of England. She graduated with a BA degree in English Literature and Drama from Royal Holloway University of London in 2009 and started her career in financial communications. In 2013, Rosanna qualified as a journalist with a BJTC-accredited postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Communication, and then worked as a radio reporter for the BBC and LBC, and as a television producer for Bloomberg and ITN in the UK. In 2015, she moved to the United Arab Emirates, where she worked as a freelance television news correspondent for Reuters, covering Middle East business and politics for broadcast clients, and developed a career as a chairperson and moderator for live events. In March 2020 Rosanna moved to Singapore to join the on-air team for CNBC International, where she remained for the entire Covid-19 pandemic. She returned to the UK in 2022, and lives in the countryside just outside London, while travelling widely for international presenting projects.
